Haven't seen one yet. The big canebrake rattlers are my main concern.

They have been out for a while now. I went fishing the other day and must have seen 15 or so. One almost fell in the boat while unhooking a bait.

Honestly I believe they are out any time we have a series of warm days. I walked by a cottonmouth in mid december after a warm spell.

They are starting to jump between tree branches. Watch out.

Just killed this one in Texas, so I assume they're out everywhere.

On Friday I saw 2 masked racers, one cottonmouth, 2 banded water snakes, a Texas rat snake, and another snake that got away before I could get close. I think it was another racer. Was a pretty good day if you were looking for snakes.

I killed a cottonmouth on Dec. 28th coming out of the woods after dark and he was swimming up the creek. First I have ever seen that in my life.

No luck here. Took the dog for a walk around the woods a couple days ago on a beautiful day and didn't see a single snake. The woods around here are just dead, which amazes me since it's on the Honey Island swamp.
