20yr deer movement

People keep acting like this shite is stone-cold fact across the Southeast when it's a fricking 30k acre club. That doesn't mean shite if you are on public land, or even a 2k acre club.

Hell, that guy won't hunt a stand the rest of the season if he doesn't see a deer ONCE!! Who else can do that?

Honestly, if I could be sitting in Sherburne in the morning for bucks-only, I probably would be. The rut should be getting into full swing there. But I have other obligations, so I won't be until the afternoon. But if it wasn't getting to be prime time, I wouldn't even consider it.

When as a kid in St. James Parish my friends and I called it a “pah-noot”.

Oh, too cold here in north central Alabama with an unfavorable wind.

Probably more have clothes for this weather than don’t.

It’s cold but just throw on another layer.

Do you even Sitka bro? Stuff is like an oven. Only thing that can keep it in check is a yeti cooler.

Killed my second real nice buck yesterday. Hanging at camp while the boys hunt. We are headed in around mid day.

Bought a set of 3.0 underarmour this year. Freaky thing how these things keep you warm. I’m no longer afraid of the cold Couldn’t make hunt today but looking forward to it later in week

I hunted from 11 am to 3 yesterday here in MO. Was 5 degrees when I got out of truck. Winds picked up to 10mph with gusts to 15mph. Tried to sit longer but started shivering so bad the ladderstand was rattling.

About to head back out here in a bit.

Hunted yesterday evening, and never saw a deer until I unhooked my climber at dark. One was coming in behind me apparently. Heard a noise and shined my light to see rear end running off.

Sat in the stand from 6am-noon. Didn't see anything, not even a squirrel. To hell with that "research!"
