South Farm Crawfishing?

Posted by Lsubourge1 on 3/21/23 at 3:18 pm
Anyone know if crawfishing is happening now at South Farms? I know sometimes it’s closed or inaccessible due to water level. Any info would be appreciated!

Tiger Stadium Golf Tour

Has anyone done the tiger stadium golf tour yet? Want to take my boys and wondering if it’s worth it to spend the extra $60 per person for the VIP experience? Thanks!

Yep…you’re probably right Anguyen504….but then I wouldn’t get to interact with wonderful people like yourself!

Sushi Restaurant near LSU

What’s the name of the sushi restaurant near LSU that I’ve heard has the best sushi in BR? I’m usually a Sushi Yama or Ichiban guy.

Sherburne South Farm

I know there’s the Tues/Thurs morning blind draw for South farm duck hunting but does anyone know of any other easy spots to make a duck hunt in Sherburne? We don’t have any atv but do have a little John boat with a trolling motor.
If you have a steamer, a real simple way is to season with Salt and pepper, put in the steamer and steam until plumped up and flakes with a fork. Prepare a simple hollandaise sauce recipe and top with that. It's simple and delicious.

Being a wholesaler, not sure they'd sell only two sacks to me.

Where's your best place to get Select grade crawfish in the BR area? Price and quality! Thanks

Hype Video

Years ago, LSU made a hype video with scenes from Gladiator. Anyone know how to find it? I’ve searched online and and can’t find it.

re: Inshore Fishing Charter?

I say Venice...Actually I believe their address is Buras, but it was Cajun Fishing Adventures. Their place was really nice and the guides were cool, but the fishing just wasn't that great. Between the 4 of us we caught about 6 redfish. Didn't even try for trout. I'm not expecting anything to be automatic, but just assumed there may be other options that aren't so reliable on how the river is. Maybe I'm wrong, that's why I'm looking for advice. Thanks!

Inshore Fishing Charter?

Posted by Lsubourge1 on 2/14/20 at 9:48 am
I'm looking to take my son for his 8th grade graduation on a Speck/Red charter. This would be mid to late May. I did this for my older son a couple years ago and we went to Venice. Venice is so dependent on what's going on with the River and typically in May we're dealing with a really high river. We weren't too happy with that trip so I'm looking for options that would be good for speck/red fishing that time of year. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!

Goose hunting Guide?

Looking to take my two boys on a goose hunt. Looking for recommendations of guides. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Anyone try the Prairieville Walmart yet? I may give it a try this am.
BlackCoffeeKid, I'm guessing the females go to the beaches to spawn, while the males go or stay in the bays/inland waters.
DownsouthDave. We caught 85 and 1 was a male!

At Elmer’s IslandCat? My son and I were there Saturday morning and caught 85 and all were medium to large. Also only had to throw back 3 with eggs.

What he said!
There is none. Looked it up the other day to confirm when a friend asked me the same question. I don't keep the smaller ones (gumbo crabs) anyway. But just FYI

Man, the surf was pretty rough so it was difficult to fish. Tried a little but nothing was happening. Saw a bunch of people around me catching crabs so luckily I had brought my crabbing gear as a backup. Had my son and wanted him to have a good time so we set up a pretty simple and short trot line. Ended up catching 7 dozen crabs by noon and left them biting. Turned out to be a pretty productive day after all.
