6.5 CM +Peak Ammo Range Review

Got my hands on some 155 gr Fusion Tipped +Peak ammo. 5 shot avg velocity was 2918 out of a 22" barrel. 3/4" group at 100 yds. Very impressed. Should be dang good on deer

Way too much. Only place I could find them was on Federal's website. And everything is always more expensive there. So, after tax and shipping, paid about $70 a box

Steep, but doable. Just practice with the cheap stuff. Save your shells -- they are reloadable.

~150gr of anything going ~3k fps is devastating on deer!!
That’s almost 300wm numbers with a 150gr bullet

I found a couple boxes on grabagun… $55/box after tax and shipping.
I’m sure it will get better as inventory, increases, but I didn’t feel like waiting.
ETA: I guess I still have to wait. There was a “glitch in the system,” so they cancelled and refunded my order.

Not quite. My 300 WM spits out 150 gr Norma Whitetail ammo at about 3250

I shot some of the 155 fusions from my 18” 6.5 on Friday. 2775 was the average on 27 shots. It didn’t shoot great for me ~1.5 moa on several 5 shot groups. I don’t shoot very far at animals so I’m not too worried about that. Hopefully I can run it through some animals over the next few weeks and see how it performs.
The dope difference with the speed and high bc bullet is crazy. Very fun to shoot with.

I've been trying to find some ammo but haven't had any luck.
