A few years ago, i needed a blood trailing dog, so I reached out to a FB group. The guy who responded showed up with a GSP. Several miles and a couple hours later we finally recovered the buck after the GSP bayed it in the thickest creek bottom I've ever been in. I've never been more impressed with a dog. The grit, determination and drive that dog had was incredible, and all he asked for was a pat on the head

Looking for texas rig casting rod recommendations. Broke my 5 y/o worm rod today. Need new one ASAFP. Budget $100 to $150. Give me your best recommendations on brand, length, action and where to buy. TIA
A great experience. Huge, native genetics deer. Great facilities, great guides. You're gonna see lots of deer and some huge bucks. But not all of them will be on the hit list. Very intensively managed, so they only shoot older mature bucks. But a once in a lifetime experience to hunt there

I received my Omega 300 last month. Will swap it out between 308 bolt gun, 6.5CM bolt gun, and 300 BLK AR It direct threads on all three. Any reasons why is should use adapters and not just direct thread it to each rifle when I want to use it? Thanks for the responses

I wanted something similar, but not near that price range. Looked very hard at the Browning X-Bolt Speed SR, it has an 18" barrel. Ended up buying the Bergara B14 Squared Crest in 308 with a 20" barrel. Just got my Silencerco Omega 300 (took 11 months). You could also look at an AR-10 with a 16" barrel, like the Ruger SFAR which is basically as light as an AR-15 but chambered in 308
Federal Premium Terminal Ascent bullets?

Picked up a box of the 308 175 gr TA's. Anybody have any real world experience with these bullets? Also grabbed the 165 gr Accubonds. Will see what shoots the best out of my gun...

What is the OB's favorite or preferred hunting bullet? Not asking for specific caliber or cartridge, just the projectile. And worst/least preferred bullets as well...
Got skunked yesterday afternoon on GI Beach. Ended up with 17 keepers this morning on Elmer's Island in the surf. Tons of short fish, probably threw back 40. May try again there this evening, but then gotta head home. All in all, a fun trip and I learned a few things for next time.

Check out Bent Rod. Went with them last year, limited out before lunch. Highly recommend

Pretty much decided on a Browning X-Bolt Speed SR. It will be suppressed and used for hunting mainly in Ms (box stand, ladders, etc). Help me pick from 308, 6.5PRC, and 6.8 Western. Thanks
