I plan on going at least one day. Usually grab a few different items. Have stocked up on Finns the last couple go rounds. Maybe look for a rod/reel if I come across a good deal.

Any OBers making the trip? Looking for anything special?

Really hoping to find an overly stereotypical hunting/outdoors guy t-shirt. Hopefully someone comes up with this revolutionary product

Shirt, not sure.

Now, maybe a flat bill hat in neon color with a mesh back and a logo on the front bottom corner, I think you should be able to find one of those.

Dream catchers work, if your dream is to be gay.

We go every year. Most of the time we wind up buying stuff like the spice mixes or dip mixes. Years ago, we bought some can/bottle coolers that we still love and use regularly. I picked up a couple of reels at a good deal last year. There are many worse ways to spend a day than looking at new boats and outdoor gear. It's a good time every year for us. Of course, you will have the folks that will crap all over the show to keep up their too cool for school OT cred.

I've been twice, about 10 years apart. NOTHING changed. same ole same ole. I mean one of the vendors they highlighted on the FB page has fresh poppin' corks and hats.....FUKIN POPPING CORKS AND HATS!!!! I'd rather go fishing and if the weather is bad a nap in the ole recliner with Bill Dance reruns are better than that shite show.

There is a fair share of those. But all those buying spots for booths is what helps put the show on so I can wade through all that crap to find the stuff we enjoy.

It’s way better than the one in the dome so this is the one we usually try to make.

A buddy of mine went on one of the hunts that were offered in Canada and had the time of his life. There were several knife makers there last year as well that had some really beautiful stuff. The dock dog competition is always nice to watch as well. It is a big show with a ton of booths, so yeah you are going to have a lot of crap as well. The thing is, that crap sells.

I'm just unfamiliar. How is this different than going to Bass Pro, Cabela's, Bowie's, or Walmart during a regular work day?

Many many more boats, and meats on sticks.

As with everything, you get out what you put in. If you go expecting it to be shite, that's what you will get. It is not for everyone but we have a good time. Just talking with all the boat vendors is worth the price of admission for me. Maybe I'm just easily entertained though.

Of all the wild arse, flat bill, white sunglasses, driving a Carolina Squatted 2001 Chevy Silveraydoe, daddy's boat tomfoolery I've highlighted King Kracken as THE premiere baw wear for outdoor activities and church functions. I'm not too hip on my mythical sea creature lingo but isn't is supposed to be spelled "kraken"?
