Yall are a bunch of whiny bitches. Ban mud motors cause people run them on public land and mess up your hunts? How about you find some private land and stop complaining. There will always be idiots on public land. That's the downfall of public land.

How about all the people that use the mud motors responsibly? How about the older guys who can't pirogue? They should just quit hunting. What about the people who use them for fishing and frogging? There are stupid people who have them and tear shite up no doubt, but there are a lot of people who use them responsibly. But hey, let's ban them because you don't like them.

I hate the shite bags who got them banned from Biloxi marsh. I was really looking forward to hunting in there.

Technically, that first pic is not a mud boat... But I understand what you're saying...

Looking at the second pic, I think that is a mud boat...Looking at the center seat... Hard to tell though...

But yeah, that first boat is a flat with a surface drive...

I don't use mudboats so I'd like to see them banned in all delta areas.

Your beef is with the Biloxi land corp. They lease the property to the state. Make no mistake about it, they make the rules.

The regulation of mud motors is tough....

How do you regulate them? Why?

1. I know of a few AVID duck hunters that wouldn't be able to hunt without the use of a mud motor, why stop them from hunting?

2. I know of three different guys that run and check every square inch of marsh they are around to "scout" and see ducks which pressures them and pushes them around. I don't think that's necessary.

While many of us may agree in principal on certain things it's tough to enforce. I'm all for finding ways to have less pressure on the birds but at the same time allowing hunting to the fullest extent. How do you do that? I don't know. Shutting the hunting down at a certain time seems to help but lots against that due to low winter time tides. I heard about a potential motion to ban mud motors after 2 pm on Pass a Loutre this year not hunting just mud motors many against that. There has to be a way to allow the birds to rest some and still allow access and hunting however no way to do that without someone being upset, same thing now with doing nothing some people happy some upset.

The idea is to stop people from running the shallow cuts and ponds. The reality of the situation is air cooled motors are only required to run in areas where damage is a by product of the technology.

It's hard to tell someone when they should hang up their waders but if you have to have a surface drive to get into your favorite ponds, it might be time to move or hang them up.
