Funny ... if accurate, wonder if this was done before or AFTER the judge overturned the drilling moratorium?????

Geezus......is this real life or a Confederacy of Dunces? This whole episode makes GW's handling of Katrina look like a sparkling example of great leadership.

Jindal should tell Barry to GFY. I don't know how much oversight jindal has with LOOP. We could cut of 13% of our supply in a matter of a day.

I'm predicting Billy Nungesser will administer something reminiscent of a "finishing move" from Mid South wrestling to at least one federal official before this is over with.

If GW was the pres., the media would be absolutely destroying him.

to whit, he's NOT president and they're STILL blaming 99% of this disaster on him and his policies.

I said in the begining and I say it again.

Jindal should shut down LOOP and close the valves on the pipeline.

Obama thinks he is catching hell now, let gas get to $6 a gallon and see what happens.

This is all in their grand scheme to turn us into Europe. Cripple our economy making us totally dependent on the government. And Brazil is not an Ally. They along with Turkey have agreed to assist Iran! The "annointed one" will not allow the sand berms or skimmers into the Gulf making this so horrific in order to push the green agenda. fricking alternative fuels and energy has been pushed by every administration since that Pookie Peanut Farmer Carter was in office. We can't get off of oil and the left knows it. So push the industry over seas on other countries and destroy our coastline and let's see how our enviornment magically gets better and alternatives start popping out of peoples asses like magic furry RABBITS!!!

Not to mention bringing more tankers in, which have a greater chace of environmental harm than platforms. One of those bad boys dump their payload, no time to build a platform or do any type of preparation to slow the impacts.

Jindal decided to cut corners and dig from an unauthorized location so the Feds told him to dig from the right place.

quote:

Strickland said the state originally agreed to take sand from an area in the northern Chandeleurs, but had been been pumping from a more sensitive area in the middle part of the chain. He said earlier this month the state asked for a week's extension on its agreement to run pipe to the more desired area but did not meet the deadline. "All we are trying to do is hold them to their own agreement," Strickland said.

I highly doubt the feds have listened to scientists regarding building of the berms. Curious as to the reasoning.

The scientific community is largely opposed to building of the berms. It has pissed off Jindal so much he is holding back the 5M in funds from BP for LSU research.

Story will be coming out in a day or two from the LA Times who have been down here all week.

Its being held up by the Feds, Jindal and Riley. LSU has yet to receive a single penny of the 5M promised and contract signed by BP.
