What you want it completely impractical for much of society.

Do you understand that I'm paying for the privilege to not sit next to a person like yourself on a bus. It's worth the cost.

Oh yes, the “15 min cities” that the rich and elite want to push “for the environment” while they take private jets on 30 min flights

Thing is we will still need the roads private auto use for commerce. How else you gonna ship food, fuel, products, raw materials from rural America to the cities? How you gonna get produce from California to New York? Trains and Planes are way more inefficient and expensive than over the road trucking

Planes possibly, trains no. Well, depending I guess, but not really where this should be headed.

Obviously no one could advocate for no interconnecting roads or investment in roads as infrastructure.

Basic road infrastructure vs urban sprawl are two different animals. You yourself live in an area very rural with rural roads needed in many ways for commerce. You don't need a new 6 lane interstate through your property so people can get from Jackson to Kansas City 45 minutes faster.

People in BR are wanting this for a loop. Hell, for my selfish needs I want a BR loop. I won't ignore that there are better ways to spend that taxpayer moeny to achieve the same result.

You want to spend our tax money on buses and trains. You say that’s better for us as a society. I want to spend our tax dollars on roads for private autos. I say my way is better.

So we both vote for the candidates that promise to spend our tax dollars the way we want them spent. Then a handful of multi-national multi-billion dollar corporations come in, buy all the candidates and the politicians spend our money however the corporations tell them to spend it.

Problem solved!

Probably the best description of the problem being faced with most issues in the US.

Or just, ya know, general personal responsibility. Regular cardio, eating within your bounds, etc. Of course the modern commie bros have absolutely no fundamental understanding of this concept.

In cities with reliable mass transit you can do this

Then move to one, STFU, and don’t tell everyone else how to live. Easy peasy.

They can’t. Their tyranny or ushering in to complete power has to be made opt in because they’re so weak they flinch at the thought of slight violent confrontation. When you view everything they say and do through this lense it is much clearer.

I think they're naturally unathletic people who require more cardio than some of us. Has to be.

Yes, sitting down in any way and not getting up to exercise will make you fat. Add in processed food and no impulse control and boom there you have it.

97% of the US is rural. Mixed use, trains, urban planning doesn't make sense in most of the US so it's not a one size fits all fix. That's the problem I have with city dwellers. Most of them feel like EVERYONE should live like them when most of the country doesn't want to live that sort of lifestyle.
