People in general are lazy and conditioned to sit in there car. It’s amazing at Starbucks the line is wrapped around the building, only 2 people inside ordering, the average person will wait 20plus minutes to get what ever 800calorie sugar drink they want versus walk inside get a cup of black coffee, hit the bathroom and out in 3-5minutes….that is the majority of society now a days lazy and a lot of unhealthy habits!

Because the fat little fricks want the food. The parents dont want to deal with the spoiled turd melting down as a result of not getting every desire met

I use the shite out of mobile ordering for fast food.

There is nothing more convenient for me than putting the order in thru the app, pulling up, and having someone walk it out.

Chik fil a has this fricking nailed.

I can hit reorder/favorite order, and all my kids complicated picky arse orders are auto dumped.
Barely even have to slow down driving thru the mobile pickup lane.

Can I fix the same thing at home? Sure. But I'm not fixing it for just me. I've got a house hold of 6. And every one of these frickers expects to be fed for some reason. Once a week won't kill anyone, and it won't put me in the poor house. I'll take it.

In a long drive thru line right now. Have 4 kids in the car, about to go to a waterpark for the day. Getting out seemed like more trouble than it was worth

I never use a drive thru. Walk in/dine in is always faster and I don’t want to eat out of a bag like a hobo

If I see a long line I will avoid. Having said that if it’s short and I still end up waiting a long time I don’t care. I’ll still wait because I have a lot of patience.

I’ll get in a long line at Chick-fil-A because they keep things moving. A long line there doesn’t mean it’s going to take a long time. Anywhere else though, you’re screwed.

You can be the 20th car in a Chik-fil-a line and the second car in a Burger King line and it will take the same amount time to get your food.

I very seldom wait I just walk in

Subtle brag, I used to do that. My wife asked me to pick up a salad for her at CFA, but the line was wrapped around the building, so to park and walk in was impossible without playing Frogger.

you'll still get your meal quicker than you would at say... Wendy's with no other cars in line.

The Wendy's closest to me have taken an absolute dive... I hate it- they had one of my absolute favorite menus. A four piece, a chili, a tater... yummy lunch.

Without reading the rest of the thread, I’ll take a swing at answering the question.

A lot of modern parents are lazy when it comes to feeding their kids actual home-cooked meals. Sitting in a climate-controlled vehicle for 30 minutes while the kids stare at tablets and the parents scroll their phones is apparently easier than cooking dinner.

It’s been a long time since I’ve lived in BRLA but TD really reminds me how ubiquitous fast food is to life there. Rarely is there not an active thread about fast food restaurants.
