There's obviously tons of quick options - Chick Fil A right by that Enterprise Treebeards, there used to be a Salata right there as well, but those 3 were my go to for an actual sit down meal

There used to be a barista at that Starbucks across the lobby from the treebeards that had huge tits

Occasionally, especially in the summer in the search for AC, the odd homeless would find it's way down there and it would look Buddy the Elf in Manhattan. Cops usually got them out of there quick. Aside from that no it's basically all working folks going to lunch, getting coffee, getting dry cleaning and a hair cut, etc. I've only been a few times post COVID and it had cleared out quite a bit for sure.

Thats a shame it was pretty cool and plenty of good lunch spots in the 90s and early 2000s. The talent was very nice as well at that time.

I don’t remember any riff raft down there. Weird because don’t remember seeing much of a police presence. It seemed all corporate people, safe, and clean.

Would never work in Louisiana

You need to go through private office buildings or hotels to get down there which makes it tough for the riff raff to get down there

it’s the reason you don’t see many people downtown. Everyone is in the tunnels.

Stfu with that South Oklahoma bs

ETA: some of the tunnel areas were impacted by construction above grade that recently wrapped up. I know areas that were used as field offices for Brava and Texas tower teams.

Doozos for dumplings (they have one in Allen Center tunnels now), Mayuri for Indian, luchi and joeys for some solid street tacos, post oak grill, district 7. Flipping Pattie’s in understory as well.

Most folks that don’t work downtown have zero clue there is a tunnel network underground. It makes it handy to go see clients for lunch and not go off the reservation so to speak but then again lots of clients eat down there so much that they love getting to leave as long as you pick them up.

The tunnels are in decline for lunch. Was much better.

Understory has the “Nuevo” food court you can check out. Pasta, poke, rice bowls……all you want for $20 lunch

There is an Post Oak Grill still hanging in there.

The dumpling shops were money. Can't remember the names. Doozo? (maybe not technically in the tunnels). Bao maybe?

I once ordered New Orleans style red beans and rice from Treebeards and the vato serving me asked if I wanted cheese and onions on them.
