Women are not an issue. Even getting the "right" one.
I really just enjoy being alone.

With a pack o' hounds in the house, like I would ever get time alone.

Old man here, age 61. Although I enjoy good company, I find that it’s very difficult to find people who I can have an intelligent conversation with on most topics. Most of the time I find myself thinking circles around most people and in huge disagreement with them. I won’t bother engaging them because it’s futile.
Young people are insufferable these days. It’s impossible to have any sort of conversation with them. They have no sense of humor and take everything literally. Everything offends them.
I’m 13 months from retiring and I’m the oldest guy in my office. The young people are morons.

We live in the age of narcissism where at your age, that is not what held sway in your youth.

They have no sense of humor
This is the most tragic of all.

This. I get all the interaction with the general dumbass public at work. Other than that I’m perfectly happy at my home doing my thing.
I do not enjoy “having company.” Mainly because it triggers my wife into having to deep clean an already clean house for two days just to have folks over for three hours.

I chose well in marriage.
My wife did not choose as well.

The more I'm around people, the less I want to be around people
