It’s not right to ask someone to stay home and not work. This will be beyond devastating for our state and economy. The majority of people getting seriously ill are either retirement age or close to it. They’re either already staying home because they’re retired or they’ve had 25 or more years to save in the event of a crisis. Why can’t politicians ever apply common sense to anything they do.

I’m admittedly cynical of government in general but tyryng to give the benefit of doubt in times of crisis.

However these people telling us to stay home will continue to get 6 figure salaries, armed guards, and food and lodging that we’re paying for.

Keep this up and swhtf.

We’ve lost our freedom because as a population we are morons. These mandated measures would not be necessary if people simply kept six feet apart, washed hands regularly, and isolated themselves appropriately when sick or when exposed to others when sick. But we won’t do that because we are morons. So we need daddy government to send us to our rooms.

If you do anything important in 2020 you can do it online.

Unless you are essential to people living, police/fire/healthcare/grocery etc etc etc

Everything else can wait

Yes, this is bullshite. Seriously, the country is on lockdown, people are afraid, panicked. Over what? The shelves are empty. Bars are closed. Work from home. Quarantine yourself. This is madness.

Every politician demanding people stay at home and bars and restaurants shutter their doors should be receiving 0 salary and be forced to go without staff until this is over.

This might legitimately be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on this website.

That’s impressive

The loudest stay at home people on social media work for the government or at home. Must be nice to pretend millions of Americans will not be unemployed because of this.

What I do is not important....to anyone but me, and the people that work for me.

What is great for my workers is that they work remotely, so they can keep working. What is bad for me is that what we do is not "essential". So pretty soon, my customers are going to dry up.

And if my business folds, the only people affected will be me and my workers. The world will keep turning. But with a few more unemployed people. Drop in the bucket.
