I was 10 years old in 1997. Assuming I could access it I had about $5k in my college savings acct probably.
Buy Amazon at $18, 277 shares. It splits 3x 2:1, 3:1, 2:1
3,333 shares now....$5.9M
I probably would've kidnapped my 10 yold self and ransomed him to my parents to invest their entire net worth in 1997 in amazon instead.....would be aroun $300M now that's a much better outcome

As someone said before, why would I go to the past to give myself stock and sports tips when I can just ask my future for tips?
I'm definitely going to follow future me's tips, whereas past me would probably disregard the crazy dude screaming at me to bet on some game that won't even occur for years, or buy stock in some company that doesn't exist.

I had been told parents would pay all college expenses.
Mom whined about the tuition.
Did state school.
Id go ahead and borrow for first two and do rotc and get paid junior and senior years if i had it to do over.
I spent most of college drinking and dating.
Wasted youth.
I could address all that in 1 minute.

Past self: Live below your means and get hooked on saving money so retirement can include unlimited travel.
Also, stop eating bullshite carbs and drinking soft drinks.
My pre-college self: Don’t be afraid to take risks. Your potential could be realized if you weren’t so afraid to fail. Don’t let other people put limits on your possibilities. Travel!!!!!
ETA: How could I not think of this first?! Don’t go to work on Nov 30, 1983. Stay home with your baby.
