does the past self option allow our past self to use that knowledge? I would hope so becauuse otherwise what woudl be the point.

I think everyone woudl take that one to pass along stock tips or lotto numbers or something. I wouldn't want to talk to future self, that seems like it could be scary.

Future probably has some good advice. Past is an idiot who wouldn't listen anyway.

I would choose my past self and tell me that I should choose to talk to my future self when given the chance by Green Chili Tiger and tell my future self to

What if you ask to speak to your future self from a year from now, and nobody comes into the room...

Assuming that we're disregarding all the obvious strategies (ask future self about winning lotto numbers, etc.), I'd ask my future self on his deathbed what his biggest mistake was.

And cross my fingers that it's not something I've already done

Talk to myself freshman year of college and tell myself to study just 20% more, pick a different major, start networking for your job ASAP, and start saving money, even if it is $5 at a time.

My past self would laugh at my future self, light a joint, crack a beer, and put off studying that night until the next morning pre-test with a hangover.

ETA:

I assumed we couldn't say "invest in Amazon" or "the lotto numbers are"...I listed what advice I'd give my 18 year old self.

Past. Tell myself the right numbers for one of the lottery mega jackpots, give myself some quick life advice, and then tell myself to avoid that soul sucking bitch named Katy.
