That being said -- I would not let my child be continuously loud and strident with cheering or generally making a bunch of noise. If she simply cheered with everyone else, no problem. If she was excessive I would quell it MYSELF. If there is an emotional disorder, this would have been an opportunity to try to remediate it. "This is how we cheer appropriately."
I feel like this is being ignored by the baws who would whoop her arse.
neither one of you know what happened before the video started and what the parents were and were no letting her do

but what we do know is a stranger countbag emotionally bullied an 8 year old little girl who had all the appearances of a sweet little girl.

And who gives a shite what the little girl was doing prior to the footage!!!
It matters if she was screaming in the woman's ear incessantly and the parents were not doing anything.

She has a disability!!

She could have any number of disabilities that affect her actions....

Our son screamed a few times ("happy shrieks") and one lady, seated with another woman, started looking over and making faces. My wife caught her doing it and her displeasure was very loudly made known. I recall an arse-whipping was mentioned if the "bitch" continued with her antics
Yall sound trashy as hell. When I'm out enjoying dinner, I don't want to hear your kid shrieking either. And you can bet "a few times" was much longer b/c I've learned that shitty parents are immune to their annoying children.

Neither do you. Hell, she could have been kicking the seat back of the woman for 45 minutes.
That's the thing about these 12 second clips..... Yet you folks go balls to the wall with the outrage...

Please reference the very first line of my post...I would like to see video of the cheering. You are exactly right. I dont know. I quantified that.

possibly, but I'm going by what the article says and say she was not kicking the lady;s chair for 45 min

she went to six games this year-- three of them last week. "One time I got the whole section to start cheering. I felt impressed with myself," Chloe said.
But on Sunday, Chloe's loud cheers for the Astros was shut down, when a woman sitting in front of her looked back and sternly told the child-- "Enough!"

baw time.
i doubt i would say anything.
i usually do this "i will fricking break your face in" death stare that generally does the trick in these situations. i'm a large enough man stature wise and not to mention I don't exactly have a poker face. so this method seems to accomplish "the point" more times than not.
last saturday for example.
me, wifey, and the inlaws went to see an exhibit at the local natural museum of science. we were patiently waiting in front of a bank of elevators for an elevator to take us to the correct floor. there was an obvious line formed. some jackass Dad, who has his two brats by the hand, decides he's more important than me and mine. So he mindlessly throws a shoulder into my wife, so he could get onto the elevator first. The wife looks at me, sees me instantly go RED. But instead of snapping, I got on the elevator and stood within about 3 inches of his face staring him down, nodding my head up and down, with said death stare on the elevator ride. of course i had about 4 inches and 15-20lbs on this tubby little shite stain, so all the sudden he wasn't in a big hurry. i think he got the point. the doors opened. he waited til everyone else left the elevator before he and the kids exited.
in my past. you betcha.
i'd of given him a earful right there in front of his kids and asked him to come fight me in the parking lot. i've settled down a bit and that wasn't the time or place to pull my proverbial nuts out in front of kids and my inlaws.

Skewed article. Come on man. You're better than this. You really think the article is going to say "I was screaming to see how loud I can scream. Turns out it's really loud!"
Posted on 9/26/18 at 2:40 pm to tgrbaitn08
As an adult just don't yell at a kid for this type of shite. Just go walk away. But I am almost positive this kid was being way more annoying than the article is letting on.

You can’t kick everyone’s arse. And what happens when 6’5” 260 lb baw you’ve shouted down takes you up on your challenge? Do you finally stfu or go down in flames?
Posted on 9/26/18 at 2:42 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
Why is this fricking news though?
Girl is loud, bitch mouths off. Here with the weather is Chip Starkley.
Good lord the standards have fallen.

Because this is the type of story that gets shared/retweeted.

That's it? Big deal. Maybe the kid is annoying as hell. If my kid was annoying I'd quiet them myself.

so you're saying that if said 6'5" 260lb baw is shouting at your helpless children, you aren't willing to go down in flames?

Because of all the hardo baws it who want to kick this woman's arse and ruin her life based on a 12 second clip and a one sided "story".

maybe and probably so.....but still...take it up with the parents....dont fuss or correct other people children especially when they are sitting right there in front of you....
If I have a problem with an 8 year old kicking my chair or screaming in my ear....I'm turning around and talking to the adult about the situation...not the child

What she was doing IS germane. I think most people would give a shite if the cheering was incessant and way out of line with what else was going on. As I said originally, it is the parents' responsibility to prevent their child from being overly disruptive. It isnt the childs fault. It also is not the fault of surrounding fans to have the expectation of enjoying a game without excessive noise, etc. Disability or not, the parents job is to manage the situation. AS I SAID, the woman should not have said anything to the child.
