Lance McCullers Jr.
?
@LMcCullers43
Chloe, don’t you EVER stop cheering! I would love for you to cheer us on, as LOUD as you can, during ALDS game 1 in MMP! I would be honored to leave you a ticket! @
Let’s be honest, that’s exactly what her parents were shooting for here.
I’ve taken my daughter to games before. Whether you are an adult or a child, there is a distinct difference between cheering for the team and just being annoying. If you honestly don’t know the difference, then you are an annoying prick.
The lady was a bitch for not addressing it with the parents if she had an issue, and she probably needed to lighten the frick up, but there is no way for her to know the girl had some mood disorder other than being a normal 8 year old. This is just a fluff piece by this station.
And for the record, I would have handled it directly with the count if she would have spoken to my kid that way.

It's happened on occasion but I make it point not to...
I cant remember the last time I had to raise my voice when we were in the same room as each other...
Now will I yell at them from across the house or from upstairs to downstairs or vice versa...well of course I do...they like to act like they cant hear me sometimes.

your wife verbally assaulted a woman who was making faces at your screaming child? What a trashy count...
I bet you wouldn't say it to her face.
The woman was making foul-mouthed comments under her breath, too. That was probably more the trigger. Doesn't matter. Someone makes disparaging comments about your kid and you hear them....and say nothing? I feel bad for your kids, assuming you have any.

Let that bi tch, or anyone else, say something to my kid for cheering.
How did the parents not say something, anything? Instinctively, I would have said something

Obviously the woman does not know that. Which is why I said I would explain the situation to her. That girl looks perfectly normal. It wouldn’t be reasonable to assume she’s special needs, so it wouldn’t be reasonable to treat her as such.
Of course not. But my point was it is very likely it was traumatic for HER because of her situation. The look on her face says a lot. It doesn't matter if WE think it was harsh, or not. Obviously we would have a much different reaction.
I never thought the woman was a psychic. Just a bitch.

Is my kid doing something that others have a problem with? The woman doesn't know your kid has issues. She just knows he is screaming... Ignore the rude woman and be done with it. The idea that "I been disreapkedted, better go tell that bitch what's up" it the trashiest mindset one can have.

Was she screaming this for every 34 Astro AB's? If so, I would have definitely said something to the parent

We didn’t have this back in my day
So this is what they call an uncontrollable spazz these days. Regardless, the lady should have addressed the parents, not the little girl. Chloe's reaction was heartbreaking.

That’s why I think the parent should have spoken to the woman and told her what’s up. It accomplished two things:
1. Teaching your child to address conflict sensibly and calmly.
2. making the woman feel like shite without being an a-hole
My granddaddy always said that even if they know they are wrong, people will never empathize with you if you’re an a-hole.

"hello woman, my child has special needs so she's able to act retarded if she wants to. mmm.. kay... see baby girl... that's how you do it!"
yeah no...
"hey count licker, don't talk to my daughter at all. I will come down and slap the shite out of you, mind your bidness and go frick yourself"
mmm yes.

It's also completely pointless and has very close to zero chance to have a positive outcome. It also teaches your children poor problem solving and coping mechanisms. It's allowing yourself to be pulled down to the level of people who are acting beneath you.

5'11. She's lean, in good shape. You could call her a lot of things, but "count" might get you slapped.

Ignore them
Yeah, you could. Generally, we both would. For the record, I encouraged her to calm down and she did. But when this happens repeatedly while you're out trying to have an evening out for the first time in a while, it gets old. We were outdoors, by ourselves, having purposely asked to be seated away from as many people as we could so it wouldn't be an issue.

She could have simply asked to be moved. There were plenty of spaces available not near us. She could have even said something to us and it wouldn't be an issue. And we were also working to keep him quieted down, some, too. So it's not as though we weren't trying to address it and it would have been obvious to anyone paying attention. You don't always have to be told that a child has an issue. It's almost safer just to assume they might and ignore it versus mouthing off. Again, there were other options for her. No one treated it as being "disrespected". It was just flat rude and was repeated several times. Sorry, but mothers are only going to let that slide so much.

I’ve got a nephew, he’s 22 and has Down’s syndrome. About three years ago we (wife and I) were at a restaurant and he was telling us a story. At another table there was three young men ( early 20’s) and one was making a face to mock my nephew, while the other two laughed. I got up and walked to his table and asked if he had a problem ( I guess I was loud and cussing) my wife didn’t see the guy and they denied it. Anyway we got asked to leave , still pisses at myself for not just slapping the shite out of him .

Also a great way to get your arse beat in front of your child. What kind of example does that set? Not only are you teaching your kid to handle things violently, you’re teaching them that their daddy is a bitch.

I don't disagree with this. And your Granddaddy was right.
