Looked like a b25, but I'm not 100% I'm in kenner, but it's flight path takes it through the MSY runway area not to the airport, direct heading would be Metairie and new Orleans.
Really cool.
If you are north of i10 look up. Lol

Of course by the time I had camera ready I only got a picture if of tree.

Must have an airshow.

That loud low rumble is unlike any other plane I've heard. Really cool.

I wouldn't mind a chance at flight in a B-17, B-25, or B-29. Pretty awesome aircraft to hear them engines.

I took a quick lunch break was sitting down and heard a rumble if the engines. I knew it was a plane. Biggest plane I've ever seen that low. Had red tipped wings olive paint. I only saw the bottom. Noting huge like a 29 but still very big, louder than a c130, which is what I was thinking at first.

you should have seen the B29 that flew over my house earlier this year OTW to the NOLA Airshow. I read it was one of two that are still flying.

It was following I-12 east over Baton Rouge. I believe it was Fifi, one of 2 B-29s still flying. It's the 2nd time in 3 years I have seen it over Baton Rouge.
It is a cool piece of flying history.

That's a ECSB

EVEN COOLER STORY BRO.

The story of the 29 is amazing. The first product models were out before testing was done. It was like two years from drawing to battlefield.
Meanwhile the f22 took 22 years to do the same.

It's a really great event if you haven't been. Reasonably priced and a fantastic collection of planes

WWII Air, Sea & Land Festival 2017

I went to this last year, and will be going again this Saturday. It is an awesome event. I never thought I would get to see a B-29, P-40, P-51, and Spitfire in flight. Tons of other aircraft, tanks, vehicles, and equipment on display. Well worth seeing.
