Personally I’m not.
Why can’t they just say “if you want to open and have the staff to do it then open. If you don’t want to go out and do xyz, then stay home. But if you want to go to get a haircut or to hobby lobby then go!”
Personal choices. Freedom of choice. Aren’t we supposed to have that???

I can assure you that 95% of those that already were living off the government dime don't want to open anything back up anytime soon.
Those who are still earning a living just as they were are probably mixed about opening up things.
Those that need an income are 100% ready to get this shite over with.
It's probably very distinct poll stats per particular group.

Interesting that this is the only response y'all can come up with, and almost all of you have done it. The poll doesn't say what you like, so people must be idiots. No I don’t like how you generalize a 900 person survey by saying majority of Americans and not majority of those polled or how the article states.....

That doesn’t really mean anything.
Even those who want to open things up have that worry.

In 2016 they miscalculated who is a "likely" voter. Fundamental flaw in the polling. This is a poll of registered voters, though. More restrictive population.

Until we eliminate ALL risk , the terrorists have won. I personally favor all Americans living in bunkers for decades while The Ruling Class and their army of infallible experts formulate a game plan that guarantees that no American will ever have a bad outcome of any kind. Redo the poll the moment unemployment benefits stop, stimulus checks are spent and the moment their boss calls to say they have lost their job permanently as the business has shuttered.

Sample size affects statistical power, not generalizability. Generalizability comes from representativeness. So long as the sample reflects the underlying population, the results are generalizable.
N = 600 is a sufficient sample size for testing basic hypotheses in a survey sample.
N = 1500 is sufficient for testing complex mediation or moderation processes.
N = 900 is perfectly fine for providing a descriptive snapshot of how respondents answered a few questions.

How widespread are the respondents? Are some from all areas of the US?
Are the majority localized in NY, NJ, etc.?
That matters heavily.
That is an important component of studies like this.
Is the information generalizable to the US as a whole?
