If it's a fair fight between 2 people, yes.
If one of them is getting mugged or jumped, no.
A few weeks ago I broke up a fight between 3 high school students and a middle school kid.

I did the same as well. I was almost like the designated fight breaker upperer( i just butchered the English language at my school) at my high school. I went to a school where there was usually an average of about 1 fight per week. During those fights, I would always come running to break stuff up. I really should have gotten paid for this as often as I did it and amazingly somehow our schopl security guards were always nowhere to be found.
What prompted me to stop was after graduation when I saw a story on the news about someone getting stabbed and dying after he tried to break up a random fight between people.

Yeah, that'll be a no from me. At this day, you don't know who is carrying what, and who is on what. What if one of the fighters is cracked out or on bath salts?

Just starting and even? Nope
One dude Cleary dominates and the other is in danger? Depends if I saw that the loser was they one who started it and deserved it, but probably at that point.

I have instinctively done it twice and both times it turned into a shite show with me thinking “why did I just do this???”
Once security arrived in the scene thinking I was the aggressor and I basically got man handled by 3 roid-monsters wearing black “SECURITY “ t-shirts.

Eh. Depends on the circumstances. If it’s out in public, nah. I’ll let the PD handle that. If it’s two strangers at my tailgate party or someplace I’m familiar with, maybe.
Getting involved in a fight isn’t really a good idea. You never know when it escalates and someone pulls out a weapon.

me and a couple of friends stopped a guy from getting pummeled. He was on the ground being kicked in the head and pushed the kicker guy away. He acted like he wanted to fight us which I am sure he would have if it had just been one of us.
