On a side note, if two people with Tourette’s dated, could they communicate…..

I feel bad for folks that have it - especially the ones that have physical tics where they hit things or themselves.

Guy I played football with had one where he would snap his hand really fast and it would make a whacking noise.

Not funny by itself but he was also an offensive lineman, where having such a tic meant he was liable to get a flag whenever he was on the line.

Yeah usually you don't start being serious until you got the goods unless you're a religious zealot.
I meant more would you be in a relationship with someone like that. Bring them to the parents and take them to dinner and the theater type stuff .

My wife has never said that to me...at least as far as I know she hasn't. She does keep going on and on about something, but I'm sure it probably isn't that.

When I was a kid, around 7 or 8 years old, I would go to the grocery store with my mom we'd commonly see a guy there that had Tourette's. I thought that guy was hilarious. We'd be walking down the aisle and hear someone scream "hairy count!" from a few aisles over. Made me laugh every time and my mom would give me a nasty look and tell me not to laugh.

Don't think I could go on a date with someone doing that over and over.

She’s cute with a nice rack. I could tolerate it for a bit.

How exactly does Tourette’s mostly (for what I’ve seen anyway) centered around curse words? Wouldn’t that be a learned behavior?

My wife watches this show. I cracked up when she went through TSA shouting "I've got a gun." over and over. They let her on the plane.

Interesting that when she talks about her cat, her tick is a “meow”

I never have been around a person that had Tourette’s before.

It's how you can spot someone playing it up for social media or TV. Because it's actually called coprolalia. It's a rarer form of Tourette's. But...it's funny and it sells. So Tourette's gets rebranded as just cursing outbursts. Honestly, the vast majority of Tourette's are body ticks. My son clears his throat. That's it. That's the vast majority of Tourette's. Blinking, clearing your throat, rubbing your nose (mine), shrugging shoulders, etc. Very rarely does it go to verbal outbursts, and even more rare is the cursing verbal outburst. See Adam Curry talk about his Tourette's. Don't believe these talentless girls flaunting their tits and acting like they have "Tourette's".
