I don't think I could. I would be so annoyed being told "F You" 1,000 times a day.

Date? Of course.

If it gets tiresome, you can move on.

I'd give it a chance at least.

One of my college roommates dated a girl with a verbal tick. She'd go "whoooop" every few minutes and my roomie said her cooter would grip tighter when the tick was happening.

It's not so much the foul language, but the "pop - click - meow!" would get on my last nerve.

When people say "dating", they always mean "fricking".

Why is it their "ticks" are always cursing?

it normally isn't - only a very small % of people with Tourette's has that tick.

I feel bad for folks that have it - especially the ones that have physical tics where they hit things or themselves.

watch Baylen Out Loud on Max of Hulu - you learn a lot about how bad these people have it, some a lot worse than others.

I never dated one with a public-facing tic like that, but I did date a gal with a rather private one. When she came she would seize up like she had ball bearings in her finger joints and they all locked at the same time. She was also a bit of a screamer, so the first time I got her off it scared the crap out of me. I thought she was having a seizure.

I knew a fighter pilot with Tourettes, it was kind of funny, and of course we were merciless with him, but he was able to somewhat control it, he somehow trained himself to substitute "frap" for frick, and would rarely say cuss words when he'd have his ticks

You would think this would disqualify someone from flighting a ~20 million dollar military fighter jet.

Military Aviation (US Air Force, Navy, etc.)

Initial Disqualification: Tourette Syndrome and most other tic disorders are typically disqualifying conditions for military service entry.

The Medication Hurdle: You cannot serve or fly in the military if you are actively taking psychiatric medications to manage or suppress your tics

I know very little about Tourettes, don't know if there are different levels, how it's treated, etc., but he was a damn good fighter pilot and has long since retired, he was just on the tail end of the Vietnam era and I think he's been retired from the ANG for about 35 years
