How about starting a gofundme or ebay listing to cut one off, and once the fund is at 1 million, you do it live.

Like others have said, I'd cut the left pinky off and end up with no debt, college for my kids paid for, and the rest in a nice retirement account. I'd basically never stress about work again. I can live pretty cheaply with the mortgage payment gone. Maybe spend a little on upgrades to the house too.

Yes.
Actually knew a guy that did because an elevator brake from an oil rig fell on it. He just passed away a couple weeks ago from heart problems. Rip you tough SOB

It would need to be a lot more than a million bucks for a finger. I can't quit my job and live on a million... at a few million I'd have to really start thinking about it, at fifty I'm cutting, so my lowest number is somewhere in between.
