we're talking a finger and some pain, not a change of life. lose a finger and got a pile of cash to take care of your kids for life.

50x might be an exaggeration... but they're going to have to do better than a million. A million is a lot of money, but it's not "quit my job, frick all y'all" money.

i agree, but its also only one finger

if the question was cut off ALL your fingers or your hand, then i agree, a million bucks isnt enough

but the left pinky, frick it, why not

im literally not even using it to type right now

You think a million dollars enough to take care of multiple kids for life?

$1 million isn't taking care of the kids for life. I would definitely consider it though if a pile of cash were laid on the table in front of me

But it is "buy a very nice house in a good school district with no mortgage money that basically sets you up for life and save the change" money.

i thinkn a better question would be

would you cut off your finger yourself under hte inflyuence of any drug you want for 250k

or would you allow yourself to cut it off under no drugs for 750k

or would you let your SO cut it off for 1 million

cause you know she go get squimish and stop half way through

I don't know if I would. I'd definitely let a surgeon take it off though

Exactly.

Super nice house in good school district, no mortgage and free school so you basically get a big pay raise, and you have plenty leftover to gain interest for their college fund.

$700k + $300k in a college fund.

frick. Yes. Where do I sign up?

I've always thought thumbs weren't technically fingers, but I may be off on that.

But a thumb is a different story.

FWIW I know a guy who losT a middle finger to a lawn mower in college and it hasn't affected his life at all.
