I mean it just looks like a bad photo shop.

That said I’ve been meaning to buy a couple new pairs of cyber pants.

It’s a neat idea. How much of people’s lives are wrapped up in social media. Plenty of Instagram models taking pics with borrowed/loaned clothes. If you could have someone “dress” you in stuff solely for the picture to be used online, isn’t this something like the equivalent?

Of course. I've bought plenty of shirts and given them away as gifts.

Watch it blow the hell just because people want to show that they afford $700 for absolutely nothing. It's no different than spending $1000 on a Gucci handbag just to put your car keys in

It is actually brilliant as shite.

Will it work?

I'd bet yes. People on social media are really into themselves.

I'm trying to think of the most amount of money I've ever spent on a tshirt. I can't be much more than $30.

Gaming companies figured this out years ago. Yes, people will pay top dollar for digital items. Fortnight rakes in about $2 billion a year mostly by selling costumes, hats, and dance moves.

People bought a pet rock back in the day.. So I am sure there are some people who will waste their money on this.

You joke, but this is exactly what I thought. Not that we are trapped in a sim created by our A.I. oppressors, but we are actually creating it and willingly plugging ourselves into it.

I haven’t played a video game since the early days of SEGA, so it blew my mind when, I guess about 20 years ago now, a friend of mine bragged that he could sell his Everquest character for about $2k. This dude dove into the SIM 25 years ago and has only come up for air a few times for essentials. He did switch from Everquest to WoW with the masses, apparently.

I agree. People will absolutely do this. Maybe not with this particular “product,” but others very much like it.

The dude who invented the Pet Rock made millions.

Yes, people are that gullible. The answer to that question from now until the end of time will always be yes.
