I had mine repaired in October, the swelling was the worst. I called the PA and gave me the ok to undo the wrap. That was terrible pain until I had an infected tooth a week later and had to get it pulled. Leading up to the surgery, no pain meds would give me any kind of relief.

Getting a chest tube put in while awake was probably the worst pain I’ve felt

I had 450 degree popcorn grease spilled on me when I was around 8 and it melted all the skin off the left side side of my chest from just above my nipple to below my belly button. That was pretty bad.

Fell through my ceiling and broke a rib and had a severe contusion on my right knee and left elbow.
Contusions were nothing. That fricking rib though....Jesus Christ. My wife had to help me get undressed to take a shower for the first 48 hours. I am a pansy but it was broken pretty badly. Lots of inflammation.
Adrenaline is a hell of thing, though. I fell onto my rafters, not to my floor, so I had to climb back up and then get down the attic ladder. I knew I hurt a rib but once I sat down and the adrenaline subsided it was a bitch.

Passed my 47th kidney stone last week.
Pain is an old friend: 3 ACLs, total knee replacement, dead gall bladder removed via open surgery, crushed ring finger in door needed amputation, Liz Franc fracture, severe ear infection, three broken ribs in a fall and, oh yeah, grenade shrapnel burns like hell.

Agreed. I've had one of those too while completely aware. They have to push that tube through some of your lung tissue. It's very uncomfortable

Glad I'm not the only one. I felt pain in my rib for 6 months when coughing

I got the bird flu in college and my stomach was in a perpetual state of feeling i was being stabbed. Seriously it was so much worse than any other sickness. I thought I was going to die a few times. Had hallucinations. But those stomach pains had me in tears.

I took a nasty fall during a leap in dance class and dislocated by hip. I still can’t bear to think about that pain.

Had this thread a couple months ago.
Pulled muscle lower back.
The muscle that holds your frickin spine up.
Took about a week before I was able to comfortably get out of bed.
My torso was twisted like a question mark for a couple weeks and still leaned for a few months.
Finally after about a year I’m about back to normal.

Borrowed a bike while visiting family. Didn't realize how sensitive hand brakes were. Flying down a hill, was approaching a car, squeezed the brakes, launched, hit car. Pain was so bad I was throwing up. I was probably around 10, and prayed to God to take me because it hurt so much.

A totally occluded left anterior descending artery in my heart. Shout out to the cath lab staff, especially Dr. Dabaghi and the baw named Thibodeaux from SWLA, at West Houston Medical Center who saved my life. They’re great people.
