Played there in April of this year. Place was immaculate. Got a discounted rate cause they had aerated 2 weeks before, but you couldn’t tell at all. Wish I could have played the other courses. Will definitely be back in the future

Still a solid deal, but I remember the very first year Pelican did the “anniversary” Lakes membership around 2018ish. It was exactly how you described except that it was something like $250 for the entire year. Was a crazy good deal. I took major advantage of it back then.

I was just in a similar situation. After all the research and test driving we went with a Honda Pilot. Was perfect for our needs and sounds like your needs as well. Reliable (currently lifetime powertrain warranty special), so much interior space and practicality for families, easy to maintain myself, and might drive the best in its class of vehicle.

We had a rental Palisade on a trip to Montana earlier this year and I liked it but we didn’t love it. Fast forward to now and we were just car shopping that car segment for my wife and after a ton of test driving and research we decided on a new Honda Pilot Elite. We keep cars a long time so Honda over Hyundai was a no brainer and I think the Pilot is better overall. Grand Highlander was my second favorite but they’re more expensive and harder to find exactly what options we wanted

I’d say about half of my rounds I’m by myself. But those are usually during the middle of the week. On the weekends I have friends that can play and I’m rarely by myself

A very grumpy old guy back then, who’s probably dead by now, used to live on the course and he’d sit on his second story balcony with binoculars and constantly call the pro shop and bitch about players on the course for dumb reasons and one day he called cause he saw me go back in the woods to piss out of site while playing and dawna found out and banished me from ever coming back lol

This makes me feel hopeful for my golf rounds in the future. I’ve been a 4-5 hcp for the past 5+ years and still haven’t broken par yet. I’ve finished even par three times and had plenty on 73’s 74’s 75’s etc but haven’t gotten over the hump. Just gotta keep grinding I guess. Golf is a funny game
