I’ve had two hernia surgeries and the recovery wasn’t that bad but they put one of those little morphine balls with the tube in me. When it was empty I had to pull the tube out myself. Didn’t hurt but almost made me throw up.. had to be like 2 feet of tubing. Just wouldn’t stop.

Holy shite. Some of y'alls stories make me want to withdraw my entry of getting kicked in the balls. That's nothing compared to some of this

Getting a catheter taken out. One size fits all. Holy frickin God.

Between passing a kidney stone and a ruptured ovarian cyst.

Shattered my elbow falling from hanging on the rim trying to dunk my sophomore year of high school. 10 feet onto the concrete. My arm went into shock so I didn’t feel anything at first and kept playing. The first shot I took my arm realized wtf had just happened and the pain ensued for the next four weeks.

I was hiking in Big Sur with a friend. We weren't even on a fricking trail. I put 100% faith in a branch on the side of a small cliff above a stream. Bad decision. I bounced off of shite around 30' all the way down into the stream. Tore some ligaments in my ankle and had several scrapes and bruises. The worst part though was I guess instinctively I was like a cat during the fall trying to grab ahold of anything. The skin on all my fingertips was gone and there was dirt and bark about a third the way down of all my fingernails.

Kidney stone
Heard from many women who said childbirth is less painful.
Ouch.

kidney stone... nothing has been close to that for me.

completely ruptured both Achilles’ tendons on separate occasions. The day after and the day after surgery were equally the worst ever. Didn’t matter how many painkillers I took, nothing helped.

Compound fracture of my left arm. Fell on the trampoline and from about half way down my forearm was bent the wrong direction. Set it myself while my brother went screaming for my mom
It wasn’t even the initial moment that hurt but that night the pain was insane. I guess after all the adrenaline wore off
Pretty rough next couple days

Reading that gave me the chills.

Half healed infected surgical incision (about 3 inches long) being torn open to the inner fascia by a doc with no pain meds.
Was a solid 8, although luckily it was only that initial sharp pull, fading over the next 15 minutes or so.
To me, the worst pain is the added psychological element of knowing it is not ever going to end. There is no better outcome you merely need to endure in order to reach.
With that even mild pain can get pretty bad.

Worst enduring pain was blockage in bile duct, infection, and pancreatitis.

Of all the injuries listed this one scares me the most. I’m not sure why but it’s just something about that in particular that scares the shite out of me.
