In your opinion, which areas—cities or states—have the worst combination of weather and topography year-round? It can be city specific ("St Louis"), an area ("southwest Texas"), or just the entire state itself ("Alabama")—whatever you choose.

Honestly? South Louisiana.

Flat as shite
Hotter than the devil’s a-hole in the summer
A surprisingly frigid wet cold in the winter

Eta
I’ve never experience a true continental winter like they get in the Great Plains. I want no part of that

Lake Charles to Beaumont is probably my least favorite part of the country

Zero redeeming qualities

Texas Panhandle

No redeeming qualities

Colder than a well diggers arse in the winter

Hotter than blue blazes in the summer

The topography is that of a dusty, shrub covered ping pong table.

Amarillo is the most cosmopolitan city around

It takes hours to get anywhere that is worthwhile.

San Diego easily. It has that mundane Mediterranean weather where it never gets hot or cold and just stays sunny and mild and perfect

Great choice. Place will kill you in a dozen different ways in a 24 hour period. Once experienced near triple digit heat during the day and snow at night…Marines dropping left and right from hypothermia. I’ve spent a lot of time at extreme altitude, but that night in 29 Palms may be the coldest I’ve ever been. Beautiful freaking place though, when the wind isn’t blowing.

And people who have only been to Yellowstone and only during summer months think Wyoming is great. It isn't. Cold, windy and barren is what it is.

Worked two summers in Pinedale, WY…such an awesome and beautiful place…during the summer. By all accounts, the winters there are brutal.
