Very few people go through life without some significant hardships. For me there were several heartbreaks when girlfriends or marriages didn't work out, but those tend to get solved by finding someone better for you, and you look back and think that it happened the way it did so you would eventually find the better one.
As far as dealing with deaths, in the span of one month in 2020 due to Covid pneumonia I lost a niece, a first cousin, and an uncle. My brother-in-law who lost his daughter also lost both his sister and mother. Five funerals in a month. It was difficult for me to go tell my mother that she lost a niece and then a nephew, and also to tell my daughter she lost her favorite cousin and an uncle. We try to accept that human life is finite and celebrate the lives of those who have come to the end.

I hope you have a good a result as I did with the rotator. You need to retire the motorcycle thing.
Since my daughter is living far away, and family is smaller and more spread out, I'm feeling more isolated these days. Sometimes when I see a group of four or five retired guys having a morning cup of coffee I wish I had that. Maybe one day we can have an O-T morning coffee meet-up group once a week just to vent to each other. Or Hooters on a Friday.

This is life we’ve all been through it one way or another. Get used to it and be prepared for the next time.

Your year needs to end and start anew my dude. One day at a time and I’ve been through most of what you have but certainly not at once.
Tomorrow is another day

I feel for you .. and can definitely relate .. my last 2 years:
Diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Lifelong friend passed away.
Mother -in-Law passed away.
Father Passed away.
Youngest sister diagnosed with lung cancer / brain cancer.
8 year old Lab passed away.
And then my wife of almost 34 years passed away 2 months ago unexpectedly. And 11/1 (tomorrow) would have been our 34th Anniversary.
The struggle is real .. thankfully have 3 sons and 1 grand baby to keep me going.

I guess the whole open road wind in your hair is a thing, but riding motorcycles has consequences. This is a decision you made that appears to have been the major contributing factor to your crap year and probably why your finance broke it off. Tired of taking care of you and all the baggage.

Two days ago I visited with my high school friend who is in hospice care with terminal cancer. He spent his 401k on medical bills and leaves his wife with nothing except his social security disability and house notes. He never once complained or felt sorry for himself and told me about getting to take his grandson to a waterpark in June like it was taking him on a European vacation. He suffers yet for a while but a glorious eternity awaits for my Christian brother.

I'm so sorry for what you've been going through.
I pray you're able to adjust.

I had a really rough time about 6-7 years ago.
We drove to FL for Thanksgiving, my dad was going through chemo at the time, he was in the hospital but we continued on with the trip. When we got there we saw him and the doctor making rounds, they said hed be released the next day and should feel better in a few weeks. Well got the call that night he passed. He was 55.
A little over 2 months later I got a call my mom was being placed on hospice care. She lived in Vegas at the time, so I spent a month or so planning the end of her life and going back and forth to be with until she passed in March.
So I had lost both my parents in 4 months and also had a baby at the time. It was awful.
I am ok now and tings will get better for you too. Sorry youre going through it.

You never know from day to day what life will throw at you.
When you go through it
You grow through it
Like a weed life is constant growth

I won’t get specific but you haven’t suffered alone these past 13 months. Fortunately periods like this usually only happen a few times in a person’s life. Best of luck as you recover.

Unfortunately, Yes. One thing I can rely on to get me through the rough times is my relationship with Christ! He is my rock, comforter and redeemer!
