Went while on military leave.
Bought tickets and took my father and myself to the Willie Nelson concert.

The fair was pretty cool especially the ride over the Miss River.

I remember going. I was only 5 but I remember riding the gondola over the river, seeing Seymour D. Fair, the shuttle Enterprise, the balloon guy who made me a balloon sword, and my dad saying the chocolate covered bananas they sold looked like “shite on a stick.”

I was a sophomore in high school. Went several times. Really enjoyed the Australian exhibit. The film they showed of the beaches was great! I also saw a prototype Dodge sedan with GPS screen in dash and they were describing it as the car of the future.

I was there. 9 years old. I remember thinking it was so huge, but now I go back as an adult and think "how in the hell did they cram all of that into this little space?"

Rode the gondola to Algiers and thought that was the coolest thing ever.

I went several times.

I remember something I've never been able to find any information about. We rode the gondola across the river and there was a little West Bank section of the fair. There were activities like bumper boats, and in general a lot of water activities. It almost seemed like you could swim in a little cordoned-off section of the river or something.

I was 12. We went for what felt like a week. I remember the rainbow ride, a kid wash thing, and a gondola that went out over the river. I remember having to suffer through a bunch of boring stuff like China, the Vatican, Canada, but as a 12 year old it was boring as hell. What I do remember is that we went to Epcot 3 years later and it was basically the same crap. My folks were fascinated with boring stuff apparently.

Fast forward to now. Had to go to Disney in December, and the Epcot was the best park because all of the reasonably priced booze. So maybe my folks weren’t as boring as I thought, we are all just a bunch of alcoholics.

Was there. It was grand. The cable car ride above the Mississippi was my favorite.

I was 10, and I was there. Gondola across the river was not cool, though...freaked the frick outta me. Though, I think the fear of gondolas was created from a ski trip my parents took when I was a kid. I can STILL remember being about 4 or 5 and saying nope to that ride. Stayed in town with grandparents and had pizza.

Same. I remember the shuttle, and looking at the junk for sale in the Chinese exhibit.

I’m looking at the guidebook on my bookshelf. I heard they overprinted them and ended up sending thousands to a landfill.

I was 17. I remember one night seeing INXS and the Go Go's at the ampitheater. Seems strange in hindsight that INXS was the opening act.

I remember being mad when I found out the Space Shuttle was not real. It wasn’t capable of space flight.
