They're extinct for a reason. Let'em stay dead.

There is a reason nature decided to end their existence. If man were smart he'd realize that.

Assuming that any of these species were to ever be released into the wild, one of the big hang ups is being able to have a breeding population. Animals are finicky, particularly when it comes to mating, we struggle to understand that process with species that still exist and are able to be closely studied. Once we figured out that, yes....we can, in fact, kill a billion or more birds we found out how difficult it is to breed the passenger pigeon in captivity. In the wild they nested and mated in flocks of a million or more birds. Each pair laid one egg. They only nested in those numbers for safety reasons, once those numbers were gone nothing we tried would get them to successfully mate.

Situations like that would undoubtedly complicate pretty much any species we tried to bring back.

Been working on this a while, at least 20 years. Last thing I heard they found a frozen baby woolly mammoth in north Siberia. Able to extract blood.

Yep, real life Jurassic Park…sorta

If it were a successful design, the animal wouldn't have gone extinct. Extinction is necessary to weed out failures.
