Woman raped in crowded train in Philly

Upper Darby Police Supervisor Tim Bernhardt told reporters on Friday that the alleged assault happened around 10 p.m. on a westbound train destined for the 69th Street Terminal.
"There were other people on the train who witnessed this horrific act, and it may have been stopped sooner if a rider called 911," a SEPTA spokesperson said.
Riders are encouraged to report criminal acts immediately to 911. For non-emergencies, riders can use the SEPTA Transit Watch app.

I rode that train once westbound to 69th in broad daylight and it was sketchy as heck. I saw a few drug sales, etc... would sure not be aboard at 10pm, esp as a unescorted woman.

In a #metoo world with cameras everywhere, it’s just too dangerous to get involved. You risk losing your entire career and being annihilated by the woke puritans.
This could have been a couple doing a little exhibition role play. Had some guy stepped in and said something, he’d be labeled a kink shamer, and his name, face, and social media profiles would be sent to his employer.
Or what if the alleged rapist was black? Or an immigrant? A Good Samaritan might be branded a racist or xenophobe.
Best to just keep your head down and keep moving. Sad to say.

Idk why Chicago is the face of violent crime in the US. Philly is way worse and doesn't have many redeeming qualities unlike Chicago (Magnificent Mile, Lakefront, North-side).
