Inshallah this spurs some people to arm themselves because they know damn well the city won't do anything. Knowing that your brains might end up on Carrollton could be the deterrent we need to curb carjackings.

Any more info on that? I definitely don't doubt Teedy is holding on to shite, but it's also one politician talking to another through the media so you never know what the full truth is.

they need to spend that money on a tent city jail in some of the NO East wasteland... and robustly locking up criminals.

I never supported him, but I'm willing to give him another shot after his comments earlier this year. But I'm also saying this is likely his last shot. If he goes soft on this case or the Costco one, he'll lose even the benefit of the doubt for me. Now apparently we have to cross mid city off for being a safe place to have fun. At what point do what few businesses left pull out of the city?
At what point are those with the means to leave going to leave?
I'm sure there will always be the diehards that have been to every mardi gras, saints game, jazz fest their entire life who will stay...But most people with families have to be near the breaking point and if not, I seriously question their judgment.
