I’m genuinely curious what they were feeling after ripping off her arm

I wonder if it was a “oh shite, our lives are over” or “Jesus Christ im a fricking monster”

They probably were laughing and kept driving. These scum are subhuman and don't think like rational humans.

The litmus test will be what happens when elections come around. Same shite is happening here in Chicago. Kim Foxx got re-elected two years ago and now everyone across the city - the mayor, police chief and most residents are criticizing her everywhere. For the exact same issues - a revolving door of people in and out of the system who aren't getting charged appropriately.

So do people wake up and not forget this and perhaps elect someone as DA who will actually do the job correctly? I'd love to say I'm hopeful, but, I just have a hard time believing it.

Now apparently we have to cross mid city off for being a safe place to have fun

We bike on the Greenway (like two streets over from the incident) almost daily and that now seems like a risky decision, which sucks arse

Where yall at "Defund the Police" Democrats? Step on up to the mic

After witnessing the violent attack, one witness said he tried calling 911 for several minutes but got no response. “Unfortunately, the phone rang for four minutes and 45 seconds before I hung up,” Todd Ecker told WWL-TV.

Another onlooker was eventually able to get a call through, but Frickey was already dead by the time paramedics arrived.

Is that because they are already receiving so many calls they are too busy to answer? Or is it more of a function of laziness and lack of adequate workforce?

Im sure Teedy either has or would like to. My point is that this sort of thing is what you deal with when you start cutting the police budget.

Nah, one of the few things Teedy has not taken up is "Defund the Police"

She defends the shite out of NOPD, right or wrong.

Even the two leading council members are against the defund the police rhetoric.

NOPD's problem is they can't even use the budget they have. Efforts to increase pay are underway.

NOPD's other problem is that they're working with about 40% of their budgeted spots remaining vacant. They're operating skeleton shifts that are just enough to get through the day.

Right I despise Teedy but she was never ever on the Defund the Police bandwagon.

The problem is right now no one wants to be a damn cop in Orleans, so they have half of the recommended officers. Half.

Both our jobs are going full remote and we move in June. Already paid all that up. Can’t come fast enough.

I did see something reallt cool during Mardi Gras. Looked like a senior black officer was driving down the route and handed a young black kid some trinket. Shook the kids hand and said "Stay out of trouble, I want to see you in my job in 10 years"

Kid answered "Yes Sir" and ran back to his mom and dad excited.

Anecdotal, but gives whatever glimmer of hope.
