He's a social justice warrior, not an enforcer of justice.

With communists, expect communism and it never fails. You people will be scratching your head in a year wondering what went wrong, yet blaming others for your problems.

I’m not trying to pick on mandeville/Covington but things feel pretty bleak for every city’s suburbs that still have inventory priced that low IMO. Especially those with perceived “good schools”

I def agree with this.

I'm in favor of weed legalization but that isn't even the argument.

If you are lenient on crimes (re: Not prosecuting shoplifting under $1000 etc), that leads a ripple effect towards more and more serious crimes being committed.

There's a reason why so called "broken taillight" policing and prosecuting works.

All of the ones caught so far are juveniles, it is being reported.

How peculiar. What were juveniles doing outside the classroom at 1:30 in the afternoon?

One female still wanted. Hearing the male may have an open armed robbery in juvenile court he's on bond for.

If true, the judge that let him out on bond should be charged with the same charges as the 4 pile of shite thugettes

What is Louisiana's definition of kidnapping?

Taking someone somewhere they don't want to go, and using force to do it is what I think of as kidnapping. Is it a federal or state crime?

The lady (has her identification been released yet?) did not chose to go with them. Doesn't that make it more than armed robbery?

I'm not even close to a lawyer but my guess would be armed robbery, kidnapping and murder 2.

You would probably make a better DA than the actual Orleans DA.

A chimp throwing shite at a wall would likely be better at being DA than him, though.

I wonder if there has ever been the thought of going after the Carjackers under RICO.

If they are taking the cars to illegal chopshops in NOLA East, then going after carjackers as well as the chopshops and alleging criminal conspiracy under RICO could be pretty effective.

Getting the Feds involved might need to happen.

Which reminds me… whatever happened with the organized car accident insurance scam which was going through the court system down there?

From the link
quote:

Another witness, Todd Ecker, said he tried to call 9-1-1 for help, but he never reached anyone.

“Unfortunately, the phone rang for four minutes and 45 seconds before I hung up,” Ecker said. He added that another witness eventually got through, but Mascar said it took almost 15 minutes before paramedics arrived.

“She’s still breathing. I can feel a pulse. And the anger was like, ‘Where the hell is the ambulance?’” Mark Mascar said. “I kept hearing loads of cops show up, but no ambulance.”

Seems like we need to add ambulance response time to the question.

it took almost 15 minutes before paramedics arrived[

This IS important. That the first caller couldn't get 911 to answer IS important. That it took so long would scare me, big time, if I still lived there.

And maybe this is the disfunctional-city reason that friends drop their hurt colleagues off at the emergency rooms from unmarked cars.

This keeps getting worse and worse.

And that location is within 3 minutes of one the largest emergency rooms/hospitals in the entire region.

Feds are involved so I'm sure if they can build that case they will.

I haven't really heard of them chopping or selling these cars off. They just abandon or burn them.
