I’ll never understand the GOP’s never-ending obsession with keeping marijuana criminalized, especially in states like TX and LA.
Have you ever met any of the families that control the legal supply and distribution of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or narcotics?
They’ll protect their competitive advantage at all cost.

We just outlawed kratom a substance that's not even federally controlled because one gal was claimed to have died because of it which has never happened to anyone else so I'm not surprised
I'm big on personal responsibnilty and taking control of your own actions and dealing with teh consequences accordingly. In other words I don't think Kratom should be outlawed just becuase some people have poor impulse control.
Having said that...kratom is the hardest substance I've ever had to break away from. Tobacco, nicotine, cocaine, thc, you name it...all of those were easier things to walk away from for me than kratom. I don't think it shoudl be illegal, but man I can see how some people can absolutely get addicted to it.

Trump has longtime relationships with alcohol companies, because of his resorts and casinos. I'm glad he's pushing to reclassify weed as schedule 3, but I'm not holding my breath for any broad legalization.

Private prison owners have a big lobby as well. Oh and alcohol sales are down too. fricksticks.

We're taking away these horrible, low calorie, sugar free stress reducing beverages with no impact on your liver or blood pressure...
If you wanna take the edge off try perfectly safe hard liqour!!!
Seriously frick our government. Real answer though... they are pushing everyone to have to get a med card and pay insane prices and taxes.

This is the exsct short and long of why this is happening. It came from McConnel in KY for frick sake.
My buddy owns a liquour store/butcher shop...used to have 3 cooler dedicated to craft beer... once people started trying CBD seltzers with 15 cars per and no hangover or health effects his entire sales strategy shifted. Those 3 coolers now have CBD seltzers and maybe a half cooler of craft beer that sits. Liqour and wine sales waaaay down to.
Big liqour cant have that...neither can big pharmacy that sells the pills that correct the blood pressure that big liqour fricks up so in steps daddy government.
Im a big bourbon guy....literally helped run a pick group... we've totally stopped...some of the liqour stores I've worked w have stopped doing picks. Demand just isnt there. So many people have found this better alternative. I know for me 1 gummy or setlzer and slow sipping 1 good pour at the end of the week os perfect and I wake up feeling amazing!
So clearly.. this must be stopped

Here's the adult way of taking the edge off. Find out what is causing you to be edgy and work on that. It might make you a much better person in the process.
humanity has been taking the edge off by taking substances as long as humanity has been around. that will never change

Nancy Mace has tried to repeal the ban in the house already
Possibly because this company is headquartered in her district. I just bought some yesterday. Good stuff, and I too like these when I'm trying to avoid any alcohol during the week.
It's such a dumb fricking issue to worry about and just reinforces a terrible stereotype about the party. The people who would be in favor of such a ban will never vote dem anyway.

Yes, unlike alcohol’s long, healthy and peaceful history, THC beverages cause such violence, addiction, and crime, they must be shut down- immediately.

lol if you think Trump has a close relationship with Big Alcohol, you might be retarded. Owning resorts and casinos requires you to have close relationships with alcohol CEO’s? As if you need to pull some strings to sell alcohol at a casino? Impeccable logic.
His personal stance on alcohol is well known - he doesn’t drink. As for cannabis, you’re not going to see broad legalization at the federal level no matter who is President. Best we can hope for is restoring the hemp rule and push for more states to legalize.

A good friend was just gifted a bottle of Willie Nelson's finest...
Anyone here ever had a taste?
10mg of THC & 2mg of CBD per serving.

Could the liquor companies or even a major distributor buy a few of the THC drink companies to make them a little less against this stuff?

Sure, but it’s probably more cost effective to just buy some politicians. Those whores aren’t that expensive.

Tell him to enjoy it. And maybe stock up. Because in Nov 2026, that bottle will be illegal. Your friend probably isn't even aware of that, as are many casual enjoyers. But word needs to get out.

All this “evidence” against MJ yet alcohol is far worse and still fully legal.

Psychosis and suicide attempt following a single use of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol: A case report
I have consumed a few of the D9 seltzers and think they are amazing if taken in moderation. Def strong effects when you have no tolerance, so dont need much to feel buzzed, and love the no hangover. However legitimately documented cases of psychosis are the main fuel behind the pro ban crowd. Alcohol or flower lobby are using these examples as a weapon to push the ban. Unless they can be refuted, the federal ban will stick. No one in government wants to be involved in legalizing D9 THC products if they believe it can cause someone to stab themselves in the chest. This is a legit medical journal documenting this case. How would the pro D9 THC crowd argue this?

patient who was brought into the emergency department with a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest after consuming 8 mg of ?9-THCP. The patient was a regular user of standard tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products from dispensaries and had no history of psychotic symptoms. The patient consumed the 8 mg just over 2 days prior to admission and noted psychotic symptoms for 48 h. The symptoms included depersonalization and a belief that he was already dead.
