Even things like toy sales are way down.

This one is sad as hell, but parents are buying an iPad or video game system instead of toys.

I grew up in the 80s/early 90s. We played a shitton of video games then.

We didnt have social media, however. Or cell phones.

idn't millenials have the highest rate of childhood/young adult obesity as compared to generations past? I believe I also saw where they have the worst eating habits.
it is very polarized. millennials are very fat, but there's a large segment that are big into health. definitely bigger than any other generation.

I always had a bunch of retards as friends growing up. Now in my 30s, I would like to have some good friends that enjoyed a good game of Risk.

I doubt that. Boomers really started the exercise lifestyle. Gen Xers saw the gym boom. Millennials are more stuck on their game playing asses, except for a segment that I doubt is larger than the previous generation.

Television viewership #s continue to plummet.

And streaming viewership numbers continue to increase.

I was wondering about the actual man-hours of TV or TVesque programming the US watches now compared to the past. In the past it was never an issue to record and watch ALL of the TV I was really interested in and I like TV. Today I couldn't possibly see all the TV that interests me even if I watched 24 hours a day. The amount of programming that is available is staggering.

Nothing. They're interested in nothing because they don't exist. They are a much smaller generation than the Boomers

Spin places, yoga, crossfit, etc have taken off with mostly millennial customer bases.

That is nothing new. There were jazzercize, step aerobics, kickboxing classes, tae-bo and similar all through the 1980s and 90s.

I don't mean currently, obviously. Boomers are older so many have died off. I mean initially. Typically when you talk about the size of a generation you're talkin about the number of people born within the years that Define the generation not how many exist at any given moment
