I just can’t imagine asking other people to pay for my kids voluntary recreational activities. How fricking trashy can you be.

If it's something like a jambalaya sale or fish fry, at least I sometimes consider it. If they're just ambushing on the way in or out of the store, then screw them.

is this a suburban thing? I've seen kids/teams begging on street corners in the BR and NOLA but never at grocery or retail stores.

Those can be ignored
A kid getting in your way when you’re just trying to go in & buy toothpaste can’t

That must be a north Louisiana thing.

I've never been "accosted" by a parent asking for travel ball money for their kids outside any store in Baton Rouge.

Or, maybe you're just being a Drama Queen.

Just remember, at any time any person voicing a need for monetary help, well, basically they could be an angel. What do you want your personnel file to reflect when you’re at those pearly gates?

Ah yes. The yearly Girl Scouts selling cookies enrages old white dude thread. I knew it was coming after we received from family members yesterday.

Usually the worst is any TSC. Starting to avoid their stores just for that reason.

Ran into this, but it’s now making its way into restaurants. Sitting in a nice restaurant and 2 kids (yes booboo) running around from table to table selling stuff and/or asking for donations. I asked where their parents were and they said out in the car waiting. Restaurant personnel seemed hesitant to tell them to leave but once customers started complaining, the beggars disappeared.

Girl Scouts all sell online now anyway. They don’t do shite.

This isn't true.

My 8-yr.old GS did a booth on 3 consecutive nights last week and sold approximately 235 boxes.

I had some guy try to sell me banana bread at the Walmart gas station for his “charity.” Yeah I’ll pass.
