Shaka was actually a Swedish Viking who used a DeLorean to time travel to Africa and coco-butter to tan. Further research is needed to figure out how he got the DeLorean and gas to make it run, but that's a minor thing.

ETA. I also saw on the comments that the claim is, in addition to being a woman, Shakespeare was a “North African Moor. Here is a what a Moorish woman looks like…

It is an interesting phenomenon - casting Othello, for example, in the 20th and 21st Centuries, almost certainly meant an imposing male lead of West African ancestry. To be fair, the language of the play fetishizes black and white skin and for theater audiences, I'm sure that in the 17th through 19th centuries that meant blackface for Othello.

But, still, for folks to associate "Moor" or Cleopatra (even if she was of partial Egyptian blood, which she almost was nearly 100% Greek ancestry) as being a traditional black person of West African heritage or even East African (which would, admittedly, be closer to Egyptian).

North Africans are of a dusky or tanned appearance, but certainly look "more" white than traditional sub-Saharan black (NTTAWWT).
