Fremont is a dump

The whole Vegas vibe is really gay and silly and ruinously expensive. Then there’s the whole running out of water dynamic

Exactly. The place is not worth going to. The Circa has tried to revamp its pool and sports book, but it's just not worth going downtown for.
I enjoumy marijuana at my house, but that place stinks of weed so bad.

Im at the Choctaw Casino event for Onyx members right now eating a free meal and getting a free Royal Caribbean or Celebrity cruise.
Casino points are pretty easy once you know the system.

We went about 15 years ago during the downturn. We got a nice room at the Bellagio for $99.00/night. We saw a couple of good shows for reasonable prices… ditto for food. We don’t gamble so hanging out at the pool was great.
I’m old enough to remember friend’s parents going and seeing the great shows back in the 60s. Those times are long gone.

Meh, Vegas has a pretty good system for capturing all its rainwater. It draws very little from Lake Mead.

The water crisis is no longer in the future. It's now.
This is the real issue.
My city (Corpus Christi) has made national news for its current drought. Our reservoirs are at about 7-8% capacity. Our city leaders are busy trying to impeach a lame duck mayor and assigning blame while they squander hundreds of billions earmarked for a desal plant. They simply will not make a decision. We very well could come to a day in this calendar year where we turn on the water and have noting come out.

If you go to Vegas with Seven Stars people like my wife and her cousin, then all meals and hotels and transportation to and from the airport is comped. WTF is Seven Stars people?
Looked it up, it’s people who have lost hundreds of thousands at Ceasers properties

Lol.
~90% of their water is from the Colorado River / Lake Meade.
2% is from captured rain water.

I recently went for my brother’s bachelor party. I was asked to buy the next bottle (Tito’s) at a club and it cost me $1700
I wanted to throw up

Las Vegas has enough water even in severe drought conditions to last until at least 2075. Post 2075, they are expected to be fully closed loop. They are extremely efficient at conservation and many cities in desert regions seek to emulate them. St George, UT for example. You can "lol" all you want, but facts are facts. LV is a great water city for conservation and planning. There are many sources out there to read if one wants to be educated.

Young people are drinking a lot less. I wouldn't be surprised if they gamble less. And those free cocktails aren't going to help lure them into the casino and addle their brains.
Vegas won't be dead but they peaked.

Hell. I was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl this year and the Marriott slipped a “Resort Fee” in my bill. Didn’t tell me until check out either. NOLA ain’t Vegas.
I’m pretty sure every major city does that now.
