People get in a rut and plan to start the next day, and then stay in that cycle

A 2.5 year old and a 4 month old certainly get in the way for me, so that's my answer. I still try to do 150 pushups/situps a day, emphasis on try

Gyms have daycares.

I used to work 6 12’s over the summers in the 100 degree south louisiana heat and still got in a 2 hour workout. Kids are a piss poor excuse to be fat and lazy

I take it you're single, no kids, and work in the fast food industry...

While I workout minimum 3 days a week, I can see how many do not have time. Demanding career, kids, obligations often take priority.

I've found over the years that if I cut weight via aerobic exercise it comes back pretty quickly.

If I cut weight by eating less, it come off slowly, but is also much less likely to come back quickly.

Weight training is kind of in its own category. It's generally a good thing, but only after you've done that "eat less" part for a while. If you're fat I don't think just starting weights is the right answer.

Working out should only be used as training to do a sport...working out just to work out is insane. Play tennis, go climbing, paddle something, pedal something, ski...
