Chamblee Food Mart at 3254 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd

Edit: I may or may not have memorized that address due to my infatuation with the snack

we have simplified our production to best meet the current consumer demand

So consumer demand wants chili lime ranch Fritos but not scoops? Cause we have the extra flavors but nothing regular.

This is what happens when the governemnt gets involved.

They ruin everything. The sooner people realize this the sooner we can get back to living our lives and not worrying about shite like this.

Somebody in last week's Frito Shortage thread said that there was a big fire at the Frito factory.

Was in HEB the other day and had to buy their Hill Country Fare brand of corn chips to go with chili. Not a bag of Fritos in sight. They're not bad, just not Fritos.

Several weeks ago around Thanksgiving, I went to three different Sam's in Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Alexandria. No Frito Scoops. Only small bags in those boxes of like 100 various brands like Cheetos, Ruffles......school lunch size.

Asked one of the clerks who said Fritos were on "hold", whatever that meant.

Ran into a route salesman in a Wal Mart and he said Lays was concentrating on the most popular varieties like Cheetos, Doritos, etc.

Went into Sam's in Shreveport last week and they had a pallet of Scoops so I bought the largest damn bag I could.

A world without Fritos is like a world with love.

Route salesman at Albertsons told me that the supply chain had something to do with the shortage but the main problem was at the production end, i.e. they are not making as many bags of scoops. But then he added that with the shortage, people are buying multiple multiple bags at a time & a normal delivery is sold in a few hrs. Yesterday I saw a lady buy 9 bags of the regular sized chips /bags....no party-sized bags available. Find out when the delivery trucks show up & be there waiting.

Even these are no longer at Sam's...at least the last couple of times we went. Usually have several teenagers running through the house & we get those because teenagers are mentally unprepared to properly close up a large bag of opened chips.

Had to resort to the HEB brand, including their corn chips.

Told they had a bit of a strike with all the hours they were working.

They'll fill contracts with places like sonic first.

Sell the rest to stores on the shelves.

Sonic bought them all for their Frito pie burrito thingies. Haven't felt masochistic enough to try one yet.

I got two the other night and enjoyed every single self-hating bite.

There was a plant in Topeka that was on strike during the summer but issue has been resolved.
It’s a slow process to make Fritos. Fritos production is always ramped up every August and September to prepare for the frito weather. But this year the plants were so behind on keeping up with product supply that they couldn’t dedicate that extra time for Fritos. And here we are with no Fritos.

When people run out of Fritos for their 7 layer dip, I use whatever chip they have and use my finger as a backing. My finger becomes the backbone as I push the fragile chip through the dip. You just lick your fingers clean and repeat
