Because traditional values are no longer taught and believed to even be a hindrance towards living a "fulfilled" life.
Girls are told to frick as many men as possible while young and attractive before they settle down to get married. Of course this doesnt set women up for success in marriage as nothing in marriage is the same as being constantly courted as in dating circumstances. Either way, a lot of women dont make it to marriage to begin with and our society no longer emphasizes the family unit. We've adopted a Hollywood view of family life, live glamorous and make your life look beautiful.

Of course he does. He’s a precursor for the Anti Christ

So you think a mother trying to bring her children to church and also trying to strengthen her relationship with God should be shamed?
Of course not, but those women would never sit in the 1st row. They would sit in the back.
This notion of nobody is allowed judge destructive behavior has decayed society. Judgment and fear of ostracization is what used to keep society functioning at high levels.
Its a not a coincidence that every generation has regressed morally.
We are at the tipping point and you are starting to see people push back against the PC culture that has silence people from speaking out about the decaying of society. Its not ok to normalize destructive, and deviant behavior.

i think his point is the "1st row" part more than the "single mother" part. in the past they wouldn't celebrate it like that

Where are girls taught this?

Why does that matter? I know where you sit at my church doesn’t matter at all. All should be equally welcomed at church.

i'll put it this way
if they want to be in front of everyone to symbolically scream out "I AM A SINNER, PLEASE FORGIVE ME" then yeah you have a point
if they're not, then there is an issue

If you subsidize it, you get more of it. It's disgusting that procreating is a career choice.

Well we ALL are sinners in the eyes of God so if you are going to church and NOT thinking this...you are the one with the problem

You think all these people having kids out of wedlock in Jacksonville are listening to what the pope is saying?

Do you know how pregnancy works? Some guy needs to be there. This guy also needs to be dumb enough to not wear a condom and still (in most cases) finish inside her. Blaming this only on women is simply moronic.

Welfare doesn’t hand itself out, baw.

Because now women are wearing single motherhood like a badge of honor. Its not something to be proud of.
You greatly reduce your children's chances at success. Success is already hard to achieve now with a global economy, decaying public education, and extremely high tuition cost.
Being raised by a single mom is just another obstacle to overcome. Especially for young boys. Women can't raise men.

some people have bigger problems than others
and, they're obviously not, especially if they're going to one of those modern, feel-good churches

How young are you talking? I doubt many young people make the connection that the mom had those kids out of wedlock. Maybe she’s divorced. Maybe she’s a widow. Maybe the dad just doesn’t go to chruch(my dad never did). This attitude just perpetuates the stereotype of how judgmental churchgoers can be, which has turned off a LOT of younger people.

Nobody believes in the value of God anymore.

This is why people leave the church
