Why is this board so completely negative about Louisiana?

Yeah, the state is a shithole in many ways. Yeah, the state government has never done much to inspire confidence in its people. Yeah, the lack of jobs and a parasitic underclass make many people want to move away.
But this shite happens in a lot of places. Have you ever been to Detroit? Baltimore? San Francisco? People love complaining about taxes, but go spend a year in Cali and let me know how it goes. Life may not be perfect here, but it's not horrible. Not by a long shot.
I'm especially troubled by the venom that gets spewed about LSU (the university). Yeah, it could be better, but the LSU of today is a shite ton better than the one I attended in the 80s. It's gonna be hard to break through the perception of being terrible when that's all you hear and read online.
Seriously, if you don't like it, feel free to move to Texas some other shithole country. Nobody is making you stay. But if you stay, why continue to run it down? If you think LSU is so terrible, then send your kid to Ole Miss.

LSU has a President and board members more interested in virtue signaling their wokeness than making sure LSU'S status as the flagship of higher education in Louisiana is fomented and protected. LSU aldo suffers because corrupt politicians keep directing money better spent at LSU to crappy colleges that should not exist.
