A lot of the posts just reek of insecurity from both sides of the argument

LA ranks last or nearly last in almost every metric.
The population is so uneducated that they consistently elect some of the worst politicians in the country.
The state government makes banana republics look like they are run by angels.
Nothing in the state runs efficiently, or even correctly.

Yeah, my oldest went to Bama because he got a full ride. But my daughter just got her BS and MS from LSU, and my youngest son is a sophomore at LSU.

I mean, it's generally one of the worst states in the country by almost all major metrics. It's not really an exaggeration.

Louisiana is damn near last in nearly every metric out there.
We have a port at the mouth of the freaking Mississippi River and we can’t get our shite together.
In all honesty, all the blame rests solely on LA’s citizenry.

Yes, but we've got a very well entrenched culture of political corruption that everyone accepts as normal. It's so far beyond repair at this point that there's really no going back. You've got a sizeable chunk of the population that is looking to get rich off of bullshite lawsuits and a million lawyers lining up to represent them.

I stayed here for friends and family. Traveled for years and got sick of it. Louisiana has a laundry list of issues but I’ll be damned if I don’t enjoy the life I’ve put together here. I guess my expectations and goals have always been low

There’s a lot of resentment from people who couldn’t hack it in LA so they had to move away from their family, friends, and hobbies to get a job in Houston or Dallas
