It seems that nuclear war involving the US being hit is inevitable.

That it’s not inevitable, at least in this situation. We’re sitting at maybe 10% tops territory of that happening, but that escalates greatly if Taiwan is invaded. Ukraine, as much as I respect them, is not in the fold of very important countries. Taiwan is though and World War III will be openly debated around the world over that invasion.
