This has some validity, as well. I think people would be less likely to litter if we had a consistent road cleaning/mowing schedule.

I’ve been around people with lots of money that are trashy as shite and behave accordingly. No respect for anything whether it’s theirs or not. You can argue that poorer people are more likely to litter, but I’ve yet to see an appreciable difference between the haves and have nots in Louisiana. The difference is the haves have someone cleaning up after them.

Bull shite. I’ve seen people walking along airline just throw cups and wrappers into the ditch. I’ve seen popeyes boxes left in parking lots. I’ve seen to go boxes places on the concrete median down highland.

I just throw all my trash in the bed of my truck. If it flies out I consider it an act of God and carry no blame.
I don't really do that but lots of ignorant trash in Louisiana does. Pisses me off when I see something fly out of a truck bed.

I grew up poor, but my mom instilled values nonetheless. For instance, being nice is free - do it often. Or, only trashy people throw trash. I’ve taught my kids the same values. When we go out to tailgate my younger ones pick up trash in the area while we unload all the gear. I jumped a women’s arse a couple years ago for emptying one of those car wash trash bags on the concrete. She literally hit the garbage can with her door when she opened it to dump the bag.

I’ve said it on here before that the chief reason as to why is because of Mardi Gras. Where else is throwing trash onto the street celebrated, and also an understood fact that someone else will pick it up for you? It’s just permeated the culture here to where nobody cares and it’s done year-round.

I live alongside a highway I pick up trash daily from stupid littering fricks. If I ever witness the crime I will probably go to jail for manslaughter I’m dead serious
