Florabama or biloxi during the summer Pigeon forge in the winter Woodville Mississippi for deer season

And DisneyWorld during Mardi Gras. If you don’t wear your LSU gear while there, were you really ever there?

Tired of looking at trees at ground level and want to be able to look out above them for a few days.

I've never been & never would go to any tourist trap like that. I don't ever travel where the masses go.

I'm going to guess Dollywood has at least 5 places in which you can purchase a corndog. And who in the frick doesn't like the smell of corndogs?

Same reason we invade Disneyworld during Mardi Gras and Orange Beach to Destin in The Summer. It's close enough to drive there in a day and it's fun.

Being from West Virginia originally, I either go back up to West Virginia or I stick to North Carolina and the Boone/Blowing Rock/Blue Ridge Parkway/Asheville area. I know this year that's not doable since a lot of North Carolina is still recovering from Helene. I enjoy the Smokies but stay on the NC side (though I haven't been to the Smokies in several years). No desire to really ever see Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge ever again.

Years ago I understood the appeal of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It was affordable, especially if you were in the south and could drive. But now it's just beyond trashy and it's not even cheap anymore. I'm sure most of you all are paying $200-$300/night now just to be at a hotel and look at traffic. It's the antithesis of what the area should be.

Cause kids love it, I love it and wife loves it. Sure it’s a tourist trap but we always have fun with different things to do and sights to see. And cause we hate Disney!!

No I’m not there now I’m deer hunting in MS with the other 1/2 of south Louisiana coonasses.

Same. NW Ga. Dear God the concentration of hillbilly redneck dip-spitting mouth-breathers was amazing to witness with the naked eye. I felt like a Rhodes Scholar.

It's like all of south louisiana is scared to travel anywhere not in Tennessee, Florida or Arkansas.

Not this year, but we enjoy renting a log cabin in the mountains and having Ga family drive up for family visit.

Lots for kids to do and I just like spending a week in the mountains each year. If we aren’t skiing, we like Pigeon Forge.

Never been to a museum there.

It’s the right amount of hours away to drive to see “mountains” and play “Smokey Mountain Rain” by Ronnie Milsap.

Now once kids are moved out and wife and I have a little more free time sure I’ll drive 3 days (I want to drive own vehichle so no flying) to Utah or Washington state to see real mountains.

Perfect spot for the LP/AP folks to flock to! Gatlinburg, Orange Beach, Disney all fall into that category
