If you have ever been unfortunate enough to be in New Orleans for this, you know why people don't go the the Magic City Classic.
I was on a 2nd or 3rd date once in 2013. We drove to NOLA for dinner. I exited on Tchop and saw troopers directing traffic and knew I had fricked up. We did a U turn and headed back to BR.

Not to mention, it’s Alabama A&M vs Alabama State. 2 lower tier football schools. THE ONLY reason they care is because they are black. I wouldn’t attend a Idaho State vs Wyoming game either.

Legion Field is in the hood. I've went 3 times I believe. I enjoy the tailgating aspect before the game, but that shite becomes a warzone at night.
The last time I went, I had to start sprinting to my car because gunshots started ringing out. It's not like I was out there late night either. That was directly after the game ended.
I'd rather go to other football games where I don't have to worry about getting shot directly after the game.
But to be fair, before the game is almost always a good time. I've never felt unsafe during the pre-game tailgates.

I've gone tailgaiting at southern a few times with black folks I know. They had a section set up with black folks they know. They didn't let ANY riffraff in. Zero issues and a good time.

Some do. My cousin's best friend has a daughter who is white. She is attending the Magic City Classic with her boyfriend who is black.

I'm white and I've been to the Classic 3 times. Always had a good time.
